Chief Executive Officer/Chairman

Josie Charles

Josie Charles is a majority shareholder of Prime Media Entertainment Limited responsible for the general strategic direction of the company’s mid-and long-term development. Further, Josie is also responsible for project financing, facilitating legal decisions, and addressing budgetary issues.

Leaving his motherland of Saint Lucia in the pursuit of a better life, he migrated to the United States of America with his family in the mid-1980s. Upon completion of high school, Josie enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a construction electrician (Seabee). Following a distinguished five-year career in the U.S. Military, he started his academic journey as an Electrical Engineering candidate and later changed his major to Architecture at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

With the leadership qualities he learned in the military, Josie pursued a career in business. He started a construction company with an emphasis on commercial construction and remodeling. Presently, he owns several medical daycare facilities and two construction companies in the state of New Jersey, while still developing projects for himself and partners. Most recently, Josie Charles became the Chief Executive Officer of Primesec Ghana Limited, an infrastructure development company located in Ghana.

Josie Charles is a man of integrity ensuring excellence in performing his contractual obligations and responsibilities.

Deputy CEO

Kwame Ackah

Kwame Ackah is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Prime Media Entertainment Limited responsible for all book-keeping activities and general documentation management of all of the company’s activities. He also ensures that the company is compliant with Ghanaian policies and laws.

Over the time span of 20 years, Kwame has worked in the oil and gas industry, specifically with Shell Ghana Limited and Vivo Energy Ghana, as well as in the infrastructure development space as the Commercial Director and founding partner of Primesec Ghana Limited. Aside from Kwame’s experience with Primesec Ghana Limited, his experience covers various roles including 8 years in a senior managerial role as the Director of Retail Operations and Acting Managing Director at both Shell and Vivo. In this capacity, some of Kwame’s achievements include ensuring outstanding business growth in network development and delivering landmark projects to diversify the business portfolio. This led to an over 100 % increase in the financial performance of the retail business in Ghana and across the Shell operating countries in Togo, Benin, Nigeria, and Burkina-Faso.

Kwame has a degree in Political Science and Marketing with an MBA in Strategic Management and Marketing from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Chief Operating Officer

David Kwamena Bolton

David Kwamena Bolton is the Chief Operating Officer at Prime Media Entertainment Limited responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations. He also oversees artist management, artist promotion and marketing, and copyright protection processes.

With almost 30 years of experience in the ICT industry in the United Kingdom and Africa, David was previously responsible for steering the technical direction of the SOFTtribe. At the age of 15, David founded ACE (UK), which specialized in development of bespoke software applications, eventually specializing in medical software systems for General Practitioners which were recommended by National Health Service and the Royal College of General Practitioners. This gave David huge international publicity due to his young age. He was dubbed in the UK press, the “Computer Whiz Kid” and received an official letter of congratulations from the then British Prime Minister.

Upon the formal invitation from the Government of Ghana, David relocated to Ghana from the United Kingdom and founded a software development house, where he specialized in public sector computerization. He undertook public sector computerization projects in organizations such as the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ghana Co-operative Bank. The company later specialized in software development for Ghanaian banks. During this period, he was appointed by the former president of Ghana Jerry John Rawlings, as a board member of the Information Technology Planning Group, a group tasked to advise the Ghanain Government on information technology policy. He was also appointed a consultant to the State Enterprises Commission as an IT Analyst. In the UK, David has worked as a consultant to Woolwich Bank in Kent as an IT Analyst. David is currently also involved in multimedia productions for radio and television.

Label Manager

Robby “Rush” Robbertson

Robby Robbertson is a Label Manager at Prime Media Entertainment Limited responsible for the general management of the record label subsidiary. He is also responsible for providing general services such as single/album artwork preparation and the physical and live performance and tour logistics.

Prior to Robby’s time at Prime Media Entertainment Limited, he worked at several companies including Associated Computer Enhancement as the Head of the Engineering Department and Millicom Ghana Limited as the General Packed Radio Service Supervisor for the Value Added Department. Robby has also worked at D’Kaybee Studios for the past 22 years as an A&R studio manager, recording engineer, and sound engineer alongside David Bolton, where he managed all stages of the sound recording process. Robby has worked with the top A-list recording artists in Ghana such as Ex Doe, KK Fosu, Mensa, Obrafour, Prickey, Mensa, and VIP.

Robby Robbertson holds a degree in Telecommunications, Radio, and TV Technology from Royal Technical College, Ghana. Thereafter, he completed a Sound and Recording Apprenticeship at the Ark Studios in London.
